Tips for Keeping Your Cards Safe at Card Shows

As a valued member of our trading card community, your security and success are paramount to us. With card shows being a significant part of the overall collectible community we wanted to share some tips that can help ensure the safety of your items at a card show.

  1. Invest in Secure Display Cases

Use high-quality, lockable display cases to protect your cards. These cases not only safeguard your cards from theft but also from accidental damage from a dropped Zion case or worse a cup of coffee! You should also travel to a card show with graded cards in a lockable slab case.

  1. Build a Trusted Network & Be Friendly!

Get to know the other dealers and show organizers and build a relationship with everyone. A close-knit community can help keep an eye on each other's booths and report any suspicious behavior.

  1. Keep an Eye on Your Inventory

Maintain a detailed inventory list of all the cards you bring to the show, especially the ones with significant value. For your graded cards ensure you have records of cert numbers so you can report to the authorities, insurance companies, etc..

  1. Be Mindful of Peak Times

Be extra vigilant during peak hours when foot traffic is high. This is when most thefts are likely to occur. Consider having additional staff or volunteers during these times to help monitor your booth

  1. Secure Your Most Valuable Cards & Inventory Overnight

If you’re participating in a multi-day show, make sure to secure your cards overnight. Remove high-value items from display cases and store them in a secure location.
