Shohei Ohtani P/DH, Los Angeles Dodgers The Dodgers remain one of the favorites to make another deep playoff run and Ohtani's cards already command serious money, but his market could have another gear if he produces a legendary October.

Aaron Judge OF, New York Yankees

Judge is already a hobby icon, but a World Series win means his long-term legacy gets even stronger. The hobby's appetite for Judge lies with his numbered, autograph and flagship rookie cards.

A monster postseason after an injury-filled regular season could create another wave of demand for Judge.

Junior Caminero 3B, Tampa Bay Rays

The Rays are having an outstanding season and Caminero gives collectors a young superstar to follow on a team that could receive plenty of October exposure.

His biggest advantage in the card market is age. If Caminero becomes one of the faces of this postseason at just 23 years old, collectors are buying into what the next decade could look like.

Ronald Acuña Jr.

OF, Atlanta Braves

Acuña is a veteran superstar and arguably the player with the most room for a market comeback on this list.

Acuña doesn't need to introduce himself to collectors. He just needs another unforgettable October, especially if he looks like the superstar he was before his injuries.

Jacob Misiorowski P, Milwaukee Brewers

The Brewers are one of MLB's best teams, and Misiorowski has emerged as a legitimate ace during their 2026 postseason push. He recently became only the second-fastest pitcher in MLB history to reach 200 strikeouts in a season, making him one of the biggest breakout stories of the year.

Pitchers typically have a tougher time sustaining card values over superstar hitters, but a couple of huge playoff starts could change that quickly. His rare rookie cards, autos and numbered parallels are worth watching.

Munetaka Murakami 1B, Chicago White Sox

Murakami is one of the most intriguing rookies in baseball right now. The former NPB superstar came to MLB with enormous expectations, and he’s having a fantastic season with the White Sox who have been in the basement of the entire league the past few years.

His base rookie cards can still be found for just a few dollars, while better parallels are already considerably more expensive.

Murakami has the perfect card-market combination because he’s a highly accomplished Japanese star, in his true MLB rookie card season, and has international collector interest.

With the White Sox in the postseason, a strong October from Murakami could bring more attention to his rookie cards.
